For 22 years, GGP has equipped newcomers with the knowledge, skills, and connections to become integrated, thriving community members. Our cross-trained staff and dedicated volunteers help clients adapt easier and faster: 80% of clients report feeling a greater sense of belonging after GGP programs. 85% of clients have greater confidence in their English abilities, and 90% of clients say GGP services and supports help them accomplish their goals.
The newcomers we serve have highly diverse backgrounds, levels of English and tech literacy, abilities, and barriers to settlement. Your donations enable us to be nimble and responsive to needs as they arise and change. Your donations also ensure that programs—and client progress—continue without interruption due to funding gaps.
No client is ever a number; we get to know each person’s needs, fears, and goals. Through partnerships, trainings, and events, we work to help the community recognize our shared responsibility in helping newcomers integrate and thrive. We offer guidance to make local services more inclusive and accessible, and advocate for what we know: that immigrants and refugees, when given the opportunity, make valuable contributions to all aspects of Canadian society.

How You Can Help
We currently don't need anything at the moment...
Please check back for updates!
Currently volunteers are helping virtually in ESL classrooms, Homework Help, Coffee and Conversation, as one-on-one mentors, as well as interpreting. Right now there aren't as many options for volunteering as there normally are, but it's always great to have people interested in volunteering!
What we Never need
Thank you so much for considering GGP for your donations. We generally don't take clothing or furniture unless clients have specific needs, as we don't have storage space.
