3 Ways to Use One Small Step this Holiday Season

We made One Small Step for you because we know how many people in our community want to support others. We have loads of local charities visible on our site for you to connect with. They share their work and their needs with you so you can help.

Here are three ways to use One Small Step this holiday season to get the most out of it!

1. Take a look around your home and see what you have to donate. Perhaps you have winter clothes in good condition that Prairie Harm Reduction or Sanctum Care Group could use? Maybe you have non-perishable food for Saskatoon Foodbank and Learning Centre or PLWA Network need? Use the SEARCH BAR on our homepage and discover which organization needs what you have.

2. Team up with friends or with your family and ask them to spend time on One Small Step exploring. Pick one charity and find a way to support them. Maybe you all go and volunteer at Saskatoon Friendship Inn or you decide to become a monthly donor at Haven Kids’ House. There are so many ways to get involved, and when all of you take time to explore the site, you’ll find out so much together and have fun. Local mom, Emma, says, “My kids and I spent time on One Small Step and we chose the charity we wanted to support this holiday season. It created great conversations and was really great.”

3. Read our Community Impact stories and be inspired. Recently, Lavish District and Prairie Songstress Music both used One Small Step to start their own fundraisers for local organizations. Perhaps you want to host a fundraiser or you have a creative way to gather donations for your new favourite charity?

Find us on social media @onesmallstepsk or email us at 1smallstepsk@gmail.com and tell us how you used One Small Step. How did you impact your community today?  Let us know what steps you took to connect with the amazing work of local organizations!
